The end of the road

Well this next month is going to be full of a lot of firsts and lasts. Starting with the firsts: Connor is going to have his first birthday on May 25th, we are buying our first trailer, and we will be moving out of our first house. And for the lasts, I am going to be going to my last day of school for this semester and this week is the last week in our house. I have been trying to pack everything up. Last weekend we made pretty good progress, we were able to get all of the furniture moved out, everything but our bed and Connor's crib. It looks pretty bare. I am actually getting a little nervous. We are getting our house plans drawn and then we can turn them in to get approved. The process seems like it is going to take forever!! And that only means the longer we have to live in the trailer:(

Sold

Well we sold our house! I have been forgetting to post about it but we accepted the second offer that came in. It was our full asking price. Needless to say we have to be moved out by the 4th of May. It seems like the 30 days have gone by so fast!! I have only packed up a few boxes so far. I need to get my butt in gear, it is just so hard to know what I should put away and what I should keep out. I keep thinking that I might need to use something, and what if it is packed. I know that this is just an excuse, but I have never really ever moved. When we got married neither one of us have anything other than clothes so that was easy.
We made an offer on a lot in Bella Vista but we didn't get that one, so we mage another offer on a lot pretty close to the first one. We found out yesterday that they accepted it, so at least we know that we are going to have a place to build a house. We still are unsure where we are going to live during the building process, we are thinking about buying a trailer and living in that while we build. The one good thing about a trailer is that we can take it to the lake during the summer and we will be able to use it later on, rather than renting an apartment, it feels like you are kind of throwing your money away, because it isn't really yours. I don't really know, but I think that we probably need to figure it out sometime soon!!

Vacation

Well, a few weeks ago at the HSU sports auction my parents bought a trip to LA to watch two Laker's games and to see Jay Leno. My Dad invited Danielle, Rachelle, and myself. It turns out Rachelle couldn't go so Mikey quickly took her place. We got to LA on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon we went to see the Lakers play the Spurs. It was a good game until the fourth quarter, the Lakers won the game. Then today we went shopping, walked the Hollywood Walk of the Stars, went to the Kodak theater, the Jay Leno show, and then we ate at the best steak house ever Mortons. They have restaurants all over the country. It is very expensive but well worth it. We are back in the hotel now relaxing. It is really nice to be able to do your own thing but at the same time I really miss Connor. The first two nights he stayed with my mom and the last two nights he is staying with Sheril. Well, tomorrow we are going to do some more shopping on Hollywood Blvd. and the go to the Lakers/Kings game at 7:30.We will be home Wednesday afternoon, I will post pictures then.

Beach

Yesterday was a beautiful day here. It was in the mid 70's till late in the evening. We went out to the beach and there wasn't any wind and it was so warm. It feels like it has been forever since we have had so warm weather. I am so ready for summer now. I think if it starts raining any time so I will be depressed! J/K

Update

So we continued to have a great response on our house. With in the first week we recieved one offer, it was a little lower than our asking price so we counter-offered them and they declined. Yesterday we showed the house twice and the first people made an offer immediately. They offered full price but they wanted us to pay all of the closing costs. Well we said no, we want to split the closing costs, they agreed. But we have two more showings today, hopefully one or both of them will want to put in an offer, and maybe we will get more than our original price:) I can't believe the response that we have had. I was kind of woried that it would be on the market for forever, with the way that everyone talks about home sales, but it looks like it isn't going to be, (My fingers are still crossed)!! I guess I better start looking for a place to live till we build the other house:))
