We're home

Well, last post I said that we had went to the ER and that he had pneumonia. Well in Monday we went to the doctor to make sure that was what he had. It turns out that he had what is called RSV and a double ear infection. In adults RSV is the common cold, but is infants and children under 2 it can be deadly. We were admitted to the hospital on Monday afternoon. When we got there they put him on oxygen because he was having a hard time breathing (one of the symptoms of RSV). The began trying to put and IV in around 4 and didn't succeed until 8:30. They couldn't find any veins because he was so dehydrated. It was so sad. Throughout the process of putting the IV in he was crying so hard but no tears would come out, because of the dehydration. With RSV there isn't anything medication that they can give you to make it go away, they just give you fluids and do breathing treatments about 6 times a day. So needless to say he is better now and we got home yesterday (friday).

It never goes away!!

Well Connor is sick AGAIN! It started yesterday, his eyes were goopy, he had a runny nose, and a cough. He stayed the night with my mom last night and was up all night. Then today he had a high fever and didn't want to eat anything. So Mikey and I took him to the doctor. His temperature was 104 and he was feeling worse. They did an X-Ray and it turns out he has Pneumonia, Pink eye, and and ear infection. Let's just say he is a little under the weather. I guess it is good timing (if that is possible), I have spring break this week, so I guess I wont have to miss any school.

A little remodel

Painting, painting, and painting some more. It seems that is all I have been doing lately. It all started 3 weeks ago. For my birthday my mom bought me new bedding, so I painted my room a dark brown (the bed spread is a teal and brown). Then we decided to replace all the wood baseboard and doors with white. Which I thought oh that won't be that hard, we can do it ourselves. Well I was wrong. It wasn't actually hard to put the stuff up, the prep work was the most time consuming. Before you hang all of the doors and the moldings, you have to give everything at least two coats of paint. Then after it is up you have to caulk it, fill all the nail holes with putty, and then touch up the paint. So needless to say, it is a work in progess. We have everything hung. So it is just the touch up work that is left to do. Which isprobably going to take my a while the actually get it finished.
In the mean time school is going good. My exercise physiology is my hardest class but is also my most favorite. It requires a lot of studying and memorizing. But I am managing.
Connor is sick again. It started yesterday. He has a slight fever and is throwing up every time he eats. I hope this time it doesn't last as long. Last time it lasted for a solid week.
I will post pictures of my house next time.

Happenings

Well this past weekend we went down with Mikey's family to San Francisco to go a car convention. We go to the convention every year. Last year it was in Las Vegas and the year before it was in Orlando. It is always nice to get out and do some shopping!! This year the convention was at the Mosconi Center which is right downtown, next to Union Square. Which means good shopping. The mall was over 8 stories high, which isn't too fun with a stroller. Right outside was a hugh Old Navy, and all of the kids clothes were 50% off!! I love their clothes they are so cute. I bought matching blue plaid shorts with a white button up shirt and flip flops for Cole and Connor for Rachelle's wedding.
On Sunday we were on our way to breakfast and I noticed that Connor was coughing pretty bad, well he coughed so hard he began throwing up everywhere, it was more than I had ever seen from a baby. He continued to throw up about 2 times per day. It was weird because he would throw up but he was perfect acting, he would laugh and play the whole time, which I thought was weird but I guess I can't really complain.
We are home now and Mikey, Sheril, Mick, Jared, and Myself are all sick!! I guess we can thank Connor for that, I just wish I could be as happy as him when I am sick!!
