Well, last post I said that we had went to the ER and that he had pneumonia. Well in Monday we went to the doctor to make sure that was what he had. It turns out that he had what is called RSV and a double ear infection. In adults RSV is the common cold, but is infants and children under 2 it can be deadly. We were admitted to the hospital on Monday afternoon. When we got there they put him on oxygen because he was having a hard time breathing (one of the symptoms of RSV). The began trying to put and IV in around 4 and didn't succeed until 8:30. They couldn't find any veins because he was so dehydrated. It was so sad. Throughout the process of putting the IV in he was crying so hard but no tears would come out, because of the dehydration. With RSV there isn't anything medication that they can give you to make it go away, they just give you fluids and do breathing treatments about 6 times a day. So needless to say he is better now and we got home yesterday (friday).
