Redding
This past weekend we took a trip over to Redding. Whitney, Mikey and I took the kids over on Friday afternoon. Nat, Casey, Jared, and Teegs came over later that night. On Saturday the boys took their bikes to ride on a track near Sacramento and then they went to a motorcross race later that day. The girls stayed in Redding and took the kids to the waterslides. The weather was perfect and the waterslides were fun. Everytime I leave Redding I am convinced I need to there move. I love the weather, the people, and all of the activities that the city has to offer. I think that it would be nice place to live since it isn't too far from home and it seems like there is always someone going over there for something. Maybe some day... After I finish school?

Pool Party
Connor turned 2 this past weekend and we had his birthday party up at my parents house in Salyer. The weather was perfect and the party was pretty mellow and laid back.
I know that everyone always says that time flies by, and that they can't believe that their children are as old as they are. But for me it seems like I have had Connor my whole life. I know that the two years have gone by extremely fast, but looking back we have done so much and our lives have changed in so many ways since we had him 2 years ago.
Pretty much the only kid's activity that we had at the birthday other than swimming and the slip n slide was the pinata. The older kids were definitely more successful at it than the little ones.
Cole taking a swing at it. He was the one that finally broke all the candy out.

Before the pinata
And after
This is the motorcycle cake that Vickie made for Connor. I attempted to make it and then she had to step in a fix most of it, This is the finished product, much better than I could have ever done!
"Tay Tay" is every kid's favorite person. She is always such a great help and truly loves most if not all children. I know that I speak for a lot of people when I say that she is the best babysitter and I don't think she should ever move away, at least not too far:)
Brooklynne and Carly are two pea's in a pod.
I also wanted to thank Monica for all of the pictures. I designated her to be the photo gal. I know that she could live up to the job since all of us like that call her the paparazzi at any and every event. I love you Monica:)

Play Time
I can't express how much I appreciate living next to family. When I was growning up we always lived next to all our cousins, and when I think back to my childhood some of my most favorite memories come from all the time that we were able to spend together on a regular basis. I know that we are so fortunate to all be really close to each other and I hope that we can all continue to live in the same area to watch all of our children grow up together.

Sugar cookies
These are my new favorite cookies. When Danielle and Monica went to Washington D.C. they went to a cookie shop called Bundles on Cookies. It turns out that you can order them online. This the arrangement that I ordered. I bought it for my mom as a belated birthday present. They have some really cute designs for all kinds of parties. Their website is Bundlesofcookies.com. The only bad thing about ordering something like this is the shipping, it is outrageously high!

Slacker
I know I have been really lazy lately when it comes to updating my blog, but I blame it partly on the fact that I can not find my camera. The sad thing about that is that the last time I had it was in my house, so I should be able to track it down soon. I feel like the past couple of weeks have been really busy and I am not really sure what I have really done. I have been working 3 to 4 days a week, which isn't easy to get a lot done considering I take both of the boys with me. Although Connor has been doing a lot better since he is getting older. A typical day at work usually starts with Connor having some playpen time, where he will play with some toys for a half an hour to an hour. Then after that he will have a snack on his motorcycle/trike and he watches cartoons while I feed Lucas. Then we have lunch and at 1 Lucas and Connor lay down for a nap. And that is when I and try to finish up my work for the day while feeding Lucas again, and next thing I know it is 4 and it is time to go home and cook dinner. This doesn't sound too exciting I know, but I am really enjoying being off from school and being able to have my boys everyday and not have to drop them off with someone else all the time. Even though from time to time I find myself thinking I could get a lot more done if I didn't have to take them to work with me everyday, but then again I guess I am pretty fortunate to have a job where I can make some money and be able to be a mom at the same time.
Over the past three weekends we went to Redding twice, once so that Mikey could go ridding, and the other for Kool April nights. Which by the way was really fun and it was awesome weather which always makes everything more enjoyable. Then last weekend My sisters, my Mom, the kids, and I went up to Salyer to get the house ready for summer. I don't know what it is about that place but I love being there. I love the way that it smells, I love that you don't have to worry about what you look like, and I love how relaxing it is to be outside all day. I am so excited for summer, I can't hardly wait:) I just hope it will be better than last year without all if the fires.
Lucas is doing good. We go to the doctor next week for his four month apt. His personality is getting bigger all the time. When he is awake he sucks on his hands constantly. I think he is turning into a thumb sucker, even though I am pretty much forcing him to take a pacifier. I don't think he is totally converted yet, but I am still trying:) He has moved pretty close to a four hour nursing schedule during the day and he is sleeping around 10 hours at night which is really nice. I am going to search for my camera tomorrow and I will post some current pictures of the boys.

Yard Work
This past weekend Mikey and Clay put in a sprinkler system in our back yard. Needless to say they had a few helpers.

Cole is getting so big. He is one of the most mature 4 year olds I know. He was so cute out there helping the boys, he would put the glue on the pipes and hold the things that they needed to use.

We were blessed with beautiful weather, and hopefully it continues so that our grass will have a chance to grow!
