2 years old

Today is Lucas' 2nd brithday. Lucas, Lucas, Lucas.... He is so full of energy and is always doing something crazy. He definitely knows exactly what he wants and most of the time will do anything to get it. He is talking so much more everyday. Lately when we have been saying our prayers at night he is able to repeat everything and it is so clear. His favorite thing to do is watch motorcyles. Every morning before we leave for work he comes into my room, sits on our bed and watches them while I get ready, too cute!

We are having a birthday party tonight at the local bouce house with his cousins and some close friends,  should be fun:)

It's over

I am finally done with school, wow such a relief! I have been in school since I was 4. That is almost 20 years! Well, my last semester started out a little crazy but by the end it seemed to mellow out and I actually found myself feeling somewhat odd about not registering for classes and organizing my schedule for the next semester.

I had my last final on Wednesday last week and after the test I walked out of the building and had a surreal  moment. I don't know if many of you have felt this way, but I was in a way sad, if that is even the right word? I caught myself looking around, trying to take it all in. The campus at Humboldt  has changed so much in the past few years, and it has become one of the most beautiful campuses.

Anyway, it was so weird to think I will never worry about; where my children will go when I have class, what hours I can work, finding a parking spot, getting out the door in time to get to class, buying books, doing homework, and so on... I can go to the gym at a decent hour and maybe even sit on the couch on Sunday nights and not feel incredibly guilty about it.

It is going to be nice....

Oh yeah I can't blog with out pictures, right? So here is the back of our Christmas card the my friend Kelly designed, it turned out so cute. Thanks Kelly!

Eureka ZOOOO

My Mom and I took the kids to the Zoo and a movie last weekend. The Eureka zoo isn't the most exciting for adults, but the kids seem to be thrilled with it every time:) I guess it serves it's purpose.... After the zoo we went to see the Legend of the Owl (or something like that) it was in 3d and was actually pretty good. I was really into the movie, maybe even more than the kids. During the movie I heard Connor saying that his belly hurt, but I kinda of ignored him.... Needless to say after we got out of the movie my Mom said that she looked over at Connor, and he was throwing up:( It wasn't because he was sick, he and Carly ate soooo much candy and treats that he made himself sick! Crazy boy.

Sac Town

Mikey has been talking about riding in a race all summer long, so of course we waited till one of the last weekends of summer to go to one. So we headed down to Sacramento on Friday morning at 7am. We drove over to Redding and made a stop at the water slides for an hour and a half, it was actually a perfect amount of time. Mikey picked us up lunch and we headed out to go to the race. After lunch both of the boys fell a sleep and Jake watched Sandlot with his headphones on the whole way to Sacramento:) It was the best drive.... We got to the race track and all the boys were in heaven including Mikey.

Mikey is in the middle and he is # 9, he getting ready to race in his second race of the night.

Connor trying to fix things, with Daddy's tool box.

All three of the boys, you can tell that they like what they see:)

Jake was loving it, I don't he moved at all during the race.

Luke playing in the truck right before he got out of the truck, notice he is still clean...

After he got a hold of the Dorrito bag:)

Mikey and Jake before the race.

After the races we headed over to Mikey's Aunt Bev's house a few miles away. She has a beautiful pool and she is so sweet and a very gracious host, anything we wanted she got for us. We pretty much laid around all day while the kids played, it was perfect.

Quick Trip

Last week Rachelle and I were talking about when the next chance would be to take the kids to the water slides, since summer is almost over:((( So we decided to go over to Redding on Thursday and to the water slides on Friday. I knew that Nat loves and needs to see the sun as much as we do so we invited her and she quickly said yes.  We left Thursday afternoon and thanks to Chrissy we were all able to ride together, thank goodness someone in our family has a big car. Every seat was filled and by the time we were half way to Willow Creek all the kids were out, perfect timing:)

We got to Redding around 5 o'clock and it was still 100 degrees. It felt so nice to wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt and feel warm. I just love and appreciate the sun so much, if the place we ate at had an option for outside dinning I am sure that is where we would have sat.

After dinner we walked to Cold Stone and got all the kids ice cream, and then we went over to the mall  to do a little shopping. Later that night we went back to the hotel and took the kids to the swimming pool. The hotel that we stayed at had a big pool and a little pool that was 2ft deep, and it is perfect for little kids. The next day we got up and hung out for a little bit, then we took the kids to breakfast. Then to the water slides we went. Here are some pictures from the trip....

All of us crammed on one table eating breakfast. I should have taken a picture after we were done eating,  the table was a disaster.

Best buddies, it was so cute to watch them play together. Teegs would go down a slide and Connor was right behind him. When one of the would get done they would wait for the other to come down the slide. They had a blast.

Nat and Lano Bano, right before he laid down for his nap.

Teegs loved going down all of the slides. This picture is so perfect, he looked just like the frog with his tongue out and all:)

Lucas running around. His new favorite thing is to mimic the sounds that go with one, two, three, go...  and then runs around, its so cute.

Shasta Lake

We just got back from Shasta Lake. We were up there for two weeks and it went by sooo fast.  We had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed spending time with all of our family and friends.

Next to the campground we stayed at was a bridge with a railroad track on the top of it. There was always people jumping off of it everyday all day, needless to say we got inspired:) I wasn't quite as a dare devil as Mikey and the other guys but I knew I could handle at least the bottom level.

Luke is still a mama's boy and one of my favorite things is when he will is playing with his toys and randomly come up to me and give me kisses:)

The kids put on a talent show on of the nights, they each had their own kitchen utensil and they rocked out.

One of Connor's favorite thing to do is swim, so he was in heaven when we went to the pool every afternoon after his nap.
