Bumpdate

I am 23 almost 24 weeks pregnant now. At this point time has been going along steadily. Fast at some points and slow at some. I feel like the first 17 weeks flew by. I was coaching for the majority of the time and then we went to Hawaii. After we got back time has dragged on.... I think its party due to the weather, whenever I get home from a vacation I almost need another vacation two weeks later. I am super anxious for summer and more than ever ready for some warm sunny days by the pool. I am going to try and document my thoughts and experiences during my last pregnancy. I am thrilled to look back and see different experiences I had when I was pregnant with Lucas ( I didn't blog before Connor came along).

Thoughts: Being pregnant hasn't felt really "real" to me until 20 weeks or so. I wasn't showing a ton and I hadn't found out what the sex of the baby was. I have been feeling him move a ton in the past two weeks and that has made it way more "real".

Baby: Measuring a few days ahead of schedule at my last ultrasound. Moving around most after I eat. Last weekend we went to Tomo's for dinner and he was kicking the entire time (almost to the point distraction).

Symptoms: I really haven't had any symptoms this entire pregnancy. I can honestly say that I feel basically the same way as non-prego. Maybe I should consider surrogacy as my next job.... (NOT) But really I have been very lucky, and I feel blessed.

Cravings & Food:  My taste buds really haven't changed much since I have been pregnant. The only thing that I have noticed liking more is fruit. I don't typically like to eat fruit or choose to eat fruit often, but now I when I go to the store I find myself in the fruit section WAY more and I usually eat it on the drive home. I weighed in at 129 pounds yesterday, I try not to weigh myself because I know its really not a big deal but I want to have something to compare the fit of my clothes to. I can wear most of my jeans still, thanks to the rubber band!

Workouts: I have been able to workout 5-6 days per week. Continuing my weightlifting program and doing some cardio (running, elliptical,or stair master). I think I have been more consistent with exercise this time around, at least continuing to do what I did pre-pregancy. I know this summer will be harder to stick with the plan and I know the larger I get the less motivated I will feel (especially when it's 100 degrees outside)

Clothing: I am in maternity clothes or gym clothes 80 percent of the time, and the other percent of the time I am trying to wear my regular clothes still (i'm not sure that will last too much longer). I cannot wait until its warm and I can wear maxis and summer dresses!

Names: Mikey and I have had a fairly easy time agreeing on a boy name we like, Cooper. I don't have any idea of a middle name, I guess if we don't come up with something it will probably be Lee (Rachelle, Jenna, and Addison's middle name).

Easter

This year Easter was pretty similar to the years in the past. On Saturday we went to the town's Easter egg hunt at Safeway. The weather was really nice and since the boys are getting older it seemed like it was more enjoyable.

After the Safeway hunt we went over to Mick and Sheril's and had another hunt. The kids were beyond spoiled and got soooo much candy!

On Sunday we had a little hunt in our house and the boys open their Easter baskets. Then we went to church and then over to my parents house for the last and final Easter egg hunt. As if the children could possibly get more stuff!

It was a great weekend and we are so blessed to be in our family's lives everyday and I am continually thankful for each and every one of them. I hope you all had a great weekend!

Preschool

A few months ago Rachelle's friend told her about this preschool that was opening a new location and that they might have openings.  We checked into it and we were able to get all of the kids in!! They have three different sections, the toddler room which is for 18 month to 24month children, the preschool room for kids 24 months to 4 years, and a pre-k classroom for ages 4-6. Connor, Luke, and Bowdy  are in their own classrooms and were so excited to go to school and get out of the office everyday, and so were Rachelle and I :-) Bowdy and Luke go three days a week from 8-1 and Connor goes 5 days a week 8-3:30.  Every day, I know it is crazy! I wasn't sure at first about him going all day long, but I think he will adjust and hopefully not be too worn out. They give the kids in the pre-k program a nap for about an hour and a half every day so I'm sure he will be fine. Today was the first day for them and they were so cute. We packed their lunches the night before and when they got up this morning they were asking about their lunch boxes:)

Poor Lucas has a swollen eye that keeps running, not the cutest for pictures but oh well.

NADA 2010

Every year there is a national car dealer's convention in various locations. This year it was back in San Francisco and we were able to find babysitter's (the gmas) so Nat and I joined the boys for the convention. We drove down on friday afternoon and stopped in Santa Rosa at the Olive Garden to eat (yum), and then we headed to our hotel next in San Francisco. The next day we met up with Mick, Sheril, and one of Mick's best buddies Steve. He has a couple of dealerships in Washington and is one of the funniest people you will ever meet. It is fun to see the interaction between the two of them, they act like little kids and it is entertaining to say the least:)

That afternoon the girls went to a musical down the street. It was called Next to Normal and it was very emotional and very different than I would have normally have chosen but all in all I would definitely recommend it to everyone. This is a picture of the stage, it was three stories and was an inside of a house, not the best picture.

One of the great things about the convention is there are some really great parties. So later that night we went to a hotel and the entire lobby was closed down for the event we were attending. The food was great and everything was completely free:))

Sunday we explorer the convention a little more and we found an entire section that I think was primarily set up to keep the women occupied, and happy. It was filled with different stations that all had to do with relaxation. There were areas to get massages, manicures, makeovers, an oxygen bar, bone density tested, blood pressure checked, and so much more.... I got two massages, two manicures, a makeover, and I think I sat at the oxygen bar at least three times.

Nat and I feeling oxygenated!

These two other ladies were sitting at the oxygen bar with us and someone noticed that we all had the last name Jones and they were mother/ daughter in law, too funny.

After the convention ended that day we headed over to a super bowl party. We ate, watched the game, and some of the ended up group playing pool most of the time.

All in all we did a lot of eating, shopping, and relaxing. I would say the convention was a complete success at least in my eyes:) Thanks Mick and Sheril!

Lucas at 2

I took Lucas to the doctor last week for his two year check up. He is 27.5 lbs and 34 inches tall. I just checked back and I didn't record anything on Connor at this age, and of course I can't ever remember anything...

Lucas at 2:

Takes 1 nap a day around 12:30 or 1.
Usually sleeps 2-3 hours.
Loves his paci.
Takes at least 10-20 minutes to actually fall asleep.
Sings in bed every night.
Copies his brother in all that he does.
Loves movies, his favorite is Planet 51.
Loves motorcyles.
Wants to learn how to ride Connor's bike so bad (Mom that is a job for you I don't have enough patience).
Jumps off of everything.
Can repeat most words.
Says around 20-25 words clear.
Eats cereal or eggs everyday for breakfast.
Loves chocolate milk.
Wants ketchup on almost every meal (just like Mikey).
Is still pretty much a momma's boy.

2 years old

Today is Lucas' 2nd brithday. Lucas, Lucas, Lucas.... He is so full of energy and is always doing something crazy. He definitely knows exactly what he wants and most of the time will do anything to get it. He is talking so much more everyday. Lately when we have been saying our prayers at night he is able to repeat everything and it is so clear. His favorite thing to do is watch motorcyles. Every morning before we leave for work he comes into my room, sits on our bed and watches them while I get ready, too cute!

We are having a birthday party tonight at the local bouce house with his cousins and some close friends,  should be fun:)

It's over

I am finally done with school, wow such a relief! I have been in school since I was 4. That is almost 20 years! Well, my last semester started out a little crazy but by the end it seemed to mellow out and I actually found myself feeling somewhat odd about not registering for classes and organizing my schedule for the next semester.

I had my last final on Wednesday last week and after the test I walked out of the building and had a surreal  moment. I don't know if many of you have felt this way, but I was in a way sad, if that is even the right word? I caught myself looking around, trying to take it all in. The campus at Humboldt  has changed so much in the past few years, and it has become one of the most beautiful campuses.

Anyway, it was so weird to think I will never worry about; where my children will go when I have class, what hours I can work, finding a parking spot, getting out the door in time to get to class, buying books, doing homework, and so on... I can go to the gym at a decent hour and maybe even sit on the couch on Sunday nights and not feel incredibly guilty about it.

It is going to be nice....

Oh yeah I can't blog with out pictures, right? So here is the back of our Christmas card the my friend Kelly designed, it turned out so cute. Thanks Kelly!
