New House

I know that I have been a major slacker with updating my blog but I still have not gotten the internet. Here are some pictures of our house.

Uncle "Kay" and Connor. Clay is one of Connor favorite people. When he sees him he gets so excited and yells "Kay Kay Kay"

Like father like son. Connor is slightly obsessed with motorcyles. He not only loves watching them on tv but he loves looking at all of the magazines that his daddy brings home.

I'm Alive

I feel like it has been forever since I have posted. Wait I guess it has been almost a month! I can't believe that Lucas is 4 weeks now. He is getting so big. It is crazy how much bigger he is compared to Connor at the same age. Lucas is doing really good. It is so much different the second time around. I cant imagine how it would be like when you have four or five kids, I don't think you would even flinch when they made a peep. I feel like Lucas is a lot more mello than Connor was. He hangs for the most part of the day. He transitioned very easily into a 3 hour schedule during the day and 6 to 7 hours during the night. It seems like he sleeps a lot better than Connor did, but then again it might just be that I don't pay as much attention to all of the sounds that a newborn makes.

We moved into our new house about 2 weeks ago. And I still have not got cable, internet, or phone. So needless to say Blockbuster has been my new favorite place. I have recently started watching the series 24. And I'm addicted. I have almost finished the second series. It doesn't seem like that 2 seasons is a lot, but the first season had almost 30 episodes, that is almost 25 hours!!

I don't have my camera with me right now, but when I get the internet at my house I will post some new pictures of the boys and of my house.

I thought I should let everyone know that I am still alive and doing well.

New Addition

Lucas Michael Jones born at 12:21pm weighing 7lbs 10oz and 19 inches long

So It has already been 1 week since I went to the hospital to be induced. I know that time goes by fast but it is almost unbelievable that a week has flown by already.

I went to the hospital Sunday night at 7. They checked me in and then determined that I would need to have cervidil. With cervidil comes 12 hours of waiting and more waiting. I guess it was good that they put it in at night so that I could sleep most of that time. The next morning around 8 they checked me and I still was only dilated 2 centimeters. So they started pitocin and set me up with an epidural. I don't know what it is with me and epidurals but it seems like last time that I got one it didn't exactly start working right away. So the anesthesiologist came back in and gave me a direct shot of some sort of medication and after that it was almost pure bliss. I remember that I kept asking "Why do people do this with out any meds?" "They are crazy" Any way back to my story, the nurse checked me right before she went to lunch and I was dilated to 4 cent. She came back from lunch and I asked her to check me again because I was so numb that I wasn't sure if I was making any progress. So needless to say my epidural was definitly working. I went from a 4 to an 8 within an hour and I didn't feel a thing. From there they called Dr. Stokes and he came over with 2 medical students who helped with the delivery. I think I started pushing at 2:15 and I had him at 2:21pm. Overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience and I know I definitly could not say that if it weren't for mordern medicine.

When Connor came in to see his new brother for the first time he looked at him looked at me and then wanted to get down and run around. As you can tell he wasn't that interested in him.

Connor rolling around on the hospital floor.

After a few days I think he finally realized that he wasn't going anywhere. He has been a lot better than I expected. He has wanted to hold him and he gives him plenty of kisses.

Dr. Apt

I went to the doctor today for my weekly checkup. She said that I am 2 centimeters dilated and about 70% effaced. Since Dr. Stokes' practice and Center for Women's Health have joined together for deliveries they give you the option to set up a date to be induced if you want to choose a certain doctor to deliver you. So Ginger the nurse midwife, gave me the option to be induced any day next week and I chose Sunday at 7. I figured the sooner the better:) My sister Rachelle has the whole week off next week so that will be nice to have her help. It just seems to weird that you can set things up like that. Because the whole pregnancy everything is so unexpected and unknown it just feels different to know the day and the hour. Don't get me wrong I am definitely thrilled to have an end in sight. The next time I post it will be with new baby pictures:))

Follow up

Our house is coming along great. They are putting all of the tile in. All of the walls are painted in side and out. They are going to put in the fireplace and I think start laying the hardwood floor next week.
This is our kitchen. I am really thrilled with the way that the Cabinets turned out.

The outside of the house. The pillors are going to have rock around them and the front porch is going to have white railing.

This is me at almost 38 weeks. I went to the doctor last week and she said that I am not dilated at all but my cervix is thinning. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday so hopefully I will be a little further along. I am still feeling pretty good, but I wouldn't be sad if I had him soon:))

A little wish list

I have been wanting to get new dishes for a while now and since Christmas is just around the corner I thought I might help some people out that might be needing some ideas. These are two different sets that I am not sure which one I like better. I am sort of leaning towards the lighter ones. My kitchen is going to be yellow and I thought that these ones might go a little better.Or maybe I could get 1 of each of these sets. They are both from Target and are a pretty good deal, at least compared to the ones from Pier One that I was looking at. They are both $39.99. I only have a few preferences when choosing dishes: 1st the bowl has to be some what deep, I don't like eating out of flat shallow bowls. And 2nd the plates can't be too thick, I am not sure what it is about thick plates that sort of irritates me.

I think these shoes are really cute, I used to have these in a different color and I
loved them. Size 8. I think that I like the red ones a little more.

I like this sweater it is from Victoria's Seceret, maybe in brown or black.

This is not something that I think that anyone reading this is going to feel compelled to purchase for me, I was just looking at things on Costco's website and I found these two TVs that seem like they are a really good deal. If I am reading the add right it says that you get a 32inch LCD TV along with a 52inch LCD TV all for $1799.99. I don't know a lot about TVs but I am under the impression that LCD's have the best quality and last longer than plasmas. I eventually want to get a TV that hangs on the wall for the living room. Mikey and I have had about 4 TVs since we have been married, and the funny thing is we haven't had to purchase any of them:) So when I do finally have to fork out the money I wont feel too bad.

This isn't the exact Entyway seat that I am looking for but it is sort of the idea. In my house I have a large area/walkway right out of the garage and I thought that something like this would look good as well as be functional.
